The room was alive . designers were talking, fabrics moving, assistants were rushing too .
But for Shivay , everything faded. Because his eyes had found her. The soul he always craves . Adhira stood near the mirror dressed in a white lehenga.Looking Ethereal. Almost unreal. Her hair were long, open— falling like a dark river down her back.
She was speaking to one of the designers slightly turning while adjusting something near her waist. And then—She lifted her hand. Casually. Sliding her hair to one side.
And time stopped. Because there it was.
Delicate.Perfectly placed on her lower back.
The same. The exact same mark . His breath caught. And jaw tightened slightly. A strange unease settled in his chest. Because he had seen this before. Not here. Not like this. But in that dream. That too real dream.
Where she wasn't Adhira. She was... her. Singing her soft song under him .
His fingers curled slightly at his sides. But his eyes refused to move. As if confirming.
As if hoping , he was wrong. Because the moment stretched— and reality didn't change. It was still there Still her. Still the same mark— that connected something he couldn't explain.
Adhira shifted again—turning slowly. And suddenly— their eyes met in the mirror.
Her light brown eyes held a flicker of confusion. Because the way he was looking at her . It wasn't normal. It wasn't casual. It was... intense. Almost like he was seeing through her. Not just her face— but something deeper. Something older.
"Shivay...?" She called softly.
But he didn't respond immediately. His gaze dropped once more— to that tattoo. And then back to her. And the only word— that escaped him— low. Almost disbelieving was
"Butterfly..."
Adhira noticed his gaze. The way it didn't move. The way it lingered. A slight wave of unease settled in her chest. She turned fully this time and walked towards Shivay.
"Are the designs okay?" She asked softly a little worry visible in her eyes But Shivay didn't answer immediately.
His eyes moved— slowly. From her face..to her shoulder... then just for a second , lower.
That same place. Her breath hitched almost invisibly. And Before she could react . he stepped closer. Close enough— that the noise around them blurred. Close enough—
that only she could hear him. He leaned slightly. Near her ear And whispered—
low. Calm and Certain.
"Beautiful..." A pause. "...like a butterfly."
And Adhira froze. Her eyes widened instantly Her heart skipped. Because in that moment— she knew. He had seen it. Her fingers instinctively moved toward her back— as if to cover something already exposed.
She looked at him. In Shock. Searching for something she even didn't knew . But Shivay had already stepped back.
With that same faint smirk playing on his lips. And without another word— he turned.
Walking away. Leaving behind silence.
And a thousand questions in her heart . That were now covered in a red blush .
Shivay's Cabin
He entered and Closed the door behind him.
Leaning back slightly against it with That smirk still there.
"...so it wasn't just a dream." He murmured.
His fingers tapped lightly on the door . Amber Eyes dark with something he was confused about
Because now— this wasn't coincidence.
This was something else. Something deeper.
Fashion Department — Changing Room
Adhira stood inside. Her Breathing uneven.
Her fingers trembling slightly , as she removed the dupatta. Her mind replayed it.
Again. And again.
"Beautiful... like a butterfly."
Her cheeks flushed. But not from embarrassment. From something else.
Confusion. Shock. And something she didn't want to name.
"How did he—" She whispered to herself.
Slowly , she changed her outfit. But even after— Her hand went to her lower back.
Tracing the tattoo lightly. As if confirming—
it was still there. Because now— it didn't feel like just ink anymore. It felt like a connection. That— she didn't understand yet.
Raghuvanshi mansion
In the living room— Prithvi sat with his phone in hand. Thinking about something
Nearby— Kavya arranged flowers absentmindedly. Daksh was scrolling through his phone and Prisha sat beside him, watching something but clearly not focused.
And then — prithvi's phone rang. And All eyes shifted towards him and Prithvi looked at the screen. A faint change in his expression was visible
He picked up and "Hello?"
There was A pause.
"Namaste..." His tone softened and Everyone exchanged looks.
Kavya straightened slightly. Daksh raised a brow. And Prisha leaned forward.
"Ji... ji bilkul..." Prithvi nodded as he listened.
Then after a longer pause. a slow smile appeared on his face.
"Achha..."
Kavya immediately stood up in confusion "Kya hua?" She whispered urgently.
Prithvi raised a hand slightly— asking her to wait.
"Bahut achhi baat hai..." He said into the phone.
Daksh muted his phone instantly getting eager to know the convo . Prisha clutched the cushion.
"What is happening—?" She whispered.
"Ji... toh phir shaam ko hi milte hain..." Another pause. "Bilkul... hum aate hain."
And then with a small chuckle "Taiyari kar lijiye..." He said warmly. "...hum hamara beta aapko sopne aa rahe hain."
The call ended and the hall wad filled with Silence. For exactly two seconds.
"WAAHHHH—" Prisha jumped up.
"KYA HUA?!" Daksh stood too.
"Kya decide hua?!" Kavya walked closer. Heart racing. "Prithvi... bolo na..."
Prithvi looked at all of them. Enjoying the suspense for a second longer. Then—
"Woh log ready hain." A beat.
"Adhira beti ne haan keh di."
There was an Explosion of excitement
"WHAT?!" Prisha literally screamed out of happiness
Daksh blinked. "Wait—like... actual HAAN?"
Kavya's eyes filled instantly. "Sach...?"
Prithvi nodded and smiled
"Shaam ko hum unke ghar ja rahe hain."
Prisha ran in circles. "OH MY GOD—OH MY GOD—OH MY GOD—"
And Daksh laughed. "Finally hmare shivay ki fielding set ho gayi—"
Kavya hit his arm lightly. "Chup!" But she was smiling through tears.
"Mera shivay ...kitna bada hogaya" She whispered.
Prisha grabbed Kavya's hands. "Didi we need to arrange everything !! "
Daksh added "And gifts—proper wale gifts—no basic stuff."
Prisha gave him a look and with a slight attitude node she spoke " hmari bahu rani .. ko lene ja rhe hai puri tayari ke sath jayege "
Prithvi sat back watching them all. "Shaam ko jaana hai..." He reminded.
"Time kam hai."
Prisha gasped again. "TIME KAM HAI?!"
She ran toward the stairs.
"I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR—"
Daksh laughed loudly. "Tumhare paas poori dukaan hai upar!"
Kavya wiped her tears but her smile didn't fade. "Prithvi jii.." She said softly.
"Usne... khud haan kaha na?...bachi pe koi jhor tho nhi hai ? "
Prithvi nodded " khud haan kaha hai .. aap chinta na kre ."
Kavya closed her eyes for a second as a Relief settled in . Because somewhere she knew—This wasn't just a rishta. It was something much bigger. And tonight—
it would finally begin.
The chaos hadn't settled yet.If anything , it had just begun. From the staircase— two heads peeked down. Veer and Anvi. They had heard enough.
"Did they just say—HAAN?" Anvi whispered loudly.
Veer grinned "Oh they definitely did."
And the next second they came running down.
"BHAAIII KI SHAADIIII—!"
Anvi spun around dramatically anf Veer joined her— doing the most random dance ever.
Kavya burst out laughing. "Kya kar rahe ho tum dono?!"
"Celebration!" Veer said proudly. "Historic moment hai yeh."
Anvi clapped excitedly. "We're going to meet Adhira di!"
Kavya smiled softly and said "Shaam ko miloge—"
"Nahi!" Anvi cut her off instantly. "Abhi jaana hai!"
Veer nodded. "Office ja rahe hain hum."
Daksh raised a brow. "Office? Tum dono?"
"Important kaam hai." Veer said trying to act serious "Future bhabhi se milna."
And Everyone laughed again. Prithvi shook his head. "Jaao... lekin zyada disturb mat karna."
"Promise nahi kar sakte." Veer replied instantly.
And just like that both of them rushed out.
Office — Shivay's Cabin
The door opened and Adhira stepped in.
But she paused. Because she wasn't expecting Trisha, Abeer and Atharv all sitting there. Her brows furrowed.
"Trisha...?"
Trisha turned grinning like she owned the place.
"Aruuu—"
Adhira crossed her arms "What are you doing here?"
Before Trisha could answer a calm voice came from behind.
"I will tell you" Shivay spoke as Adhira turned.
He walked in composed as always. "Trisha will be joining the company." A pause. "...for her safety."
Adhira blinked before asking "Safety?"
Trisha nodded quickly. "Shivay bhai said it would be better..." "...and honestly, I'm not arguing with that."
Adhira looked between them Still processing. Before she could say anything—
Shivay added calmly—
"She'll work under Abeer."
There was Silence and Then—
"WHAT?!" Trisha shot up from her seat.
"No—NO—absolutely not!"
Abeer looked offended instantly and spoke with the same energy "Excuse me??"
"What do you mean NO??"
Trisha pointed at him and explodef "I am NOT working under him."
Abeer stood up too. "Oh really?"
"Yes really."
"Kyun? Main problem hoon?"
"YES."
"Wow."
"Attitude dekha apna?"
"Tumhara attitude zyada loud hai!"
"Tumhara face zyada annoying hai!"
"AT LEAST I HAVE A FACE—"
"Matlab??!"
Adhira blinked "...what is happening?"
Atharv leaned slightly toward her and spoke with a smile "Daily episode." He whispered.
Adhira tried not to laugh. Meanwhile—
Abeer and Trisha were still going.
"I refuse to train her."
"Good, because I refuse to learn from you."
"Perfect."
"Perfect."
A pause as They both glared at each other.
Then spoke at the same time—
"Shivay bhai decide karege"
All eyes turned to him expecting a change in his answer after witnessing the chaos bht Shivay stood there. Calm and Unbothered.
Then very simply he spoke "I don't change my words "
"Abeer." He said "Handle her."
Abeer smirked instantly. "Gladly."
Trisha looked betrayed "Shivay bhai—!"
He ignored her completely and went to his table Opening a file.
Trisha turned to Adhira dramatically. "Aru... save me."
Adhira bit her lip , trying not to laugh. "Best of luck."
"TRAITOR."
Abeer leaned back in his chair. "Chalo trainee..."
Trisha glared at him and said "Mat bolo mujhe trainee."
"Phir kya bolun? Boss?"
"Shut up."
"Make me."
Atharv sighed looking at the unhinged chaos
"Yeh kabhi theek nahi honge."
Adhira smiled slightly Watching them. Watching trisha living her childhood again
For a moment— everything felt light again.
Normal. But her eyes slowly shifted Towards Shivay. Who was already looking at her Silently.
And somehow amidst all the chaos— That silence— felt louder than everything else. The argument had just started settling.
Trisha was still glaring at Abeer.Abeer was smirking like he had already won. Atharv had mentally given up.
Adhira stood in between trying to breathe normally again. And then—The cabin door BURST open.
"ADHIRAAAAAA DIIIIII—!!!"
Before she could even turn Two figures rushed in— Anvi and Veer.
And the next second , they hugged her.Anvi tightly almost knocking her balance. While Veer a little careful and Gently
"Careful—" He muttered softly.
Adhira blinked Completely confused.
"Anvi...? Veer...?"
They pulled back grinning like maniacs as they heard her And then Veer extended a bouquet toward her.
"Congratulations Di "
There was a Complete silence and Adhira froze and askef "...for what?"
Anvi gasped dramatically "FOR WHAT?!"
She looked at Veer "She said FOR WHAT?!"
Veer shook his head "Unbelievable "
After a pause they both said together—
"YOUR WEDDING."
Dead silence.
Adhira's heart stopped Her eyes slowly shifted towards Shivay , Who stood there.
Calm and Unreadable.
"...what?"
Behind her "WAIT—WHAT??" That was Abeer
Atharv stood up instantly. "Hold on..hold on....WHAT wedding?!"
Trisha's mouth dropped open. "Aru...?"
Anvi clapped excitedly "Shaam ko rishta pakka hone wala hai!"
Veer added "Official announcement today!"
Abeer looked at Shivay Then at Adhira.
Then back again
"Oh my god—"
Atharv ran a hand through his hair. "You didn't tell us??!"
Abeer pointed dramatically "THIS is betrayal ..I am your BROTHER "
Trisha walked toward Adhira slowly and with a sad face "Aru..."
"You got engaged without telling me??"
"I didn't—"
"Almost engaged?!"
"Trisha listen—"
"NO YOU LISTEN—"
Abeer jumped in "Bhai shaadi kar raha hai aur mujhe kisi ne bataya nahi??"
Atharv added "Main toh best man banne wala hoon no arguments."
"EXCUSE ME—" Abeer snapped. "I'm the best man."
"You wish."
"Main childhood se hoon saath—"
"Main zyada useful hoon—"
"Tum useless ho—"
"Tum overconfident ho—"
"STOP IT!" Trisha yelled to stop atharv and abeer's banger Everyone froze on hearing her . Then she turned to Adhira.
"Aru... one question "
Adhira blinked "Kya?"
Trisha leaned closer Eyes narrowing her face looking sad as if someone betrayed her
"Tum blush kyun kar rahi ho?"
Adhira's eyes widened "I'm NOT—"
"YOU ARE."
Anvi gasped again "OH MY GOD SHE IS—"
Veer smirked "Confirmed."
Abeer clutched his chest dramatically. "Mujhe emotional ho raha hai..."
Atharv shook his head "This is chaos."
Meanwhile— Shivay just stood there Watching . His gaze wad fixed only on her.
While the entire room exploded His silence remained Heavy. And somewhere between the noise , Adhira felt it again. That same pull. That same intensity.
And this time— There was no escaping it.
The chaos didn't leave. It just... settled into something noisier. And after sometime Everyone ended up inside the cabin. Some sitting. Some leaning and Some still arguing.
Adhira sat on the couch bouquet still in her hands. Looking at it like it had personally betrayed her. Beside her sat Trisha. Way too calm. Way too quiet. Which was suspicious in itself. Across them— Abeer and Atharv had taken over the space. And Shivay?
He stood near his desk. Arms crossed. Watching everything unfold. As if none of this affected him.
"Oh hooo..." Abeer started Dragging the tone. "Bhai ki shaadi fix ho gayi..."
Atharv added instantly "...aur bhai ko koi farq hi nahi pad raha."
Abeer smirked "Ya phir... bohot zyada pad raha hai."
Adhira looked up slightly. Confused "What does that mean?"
Atharv leaned back casually "Nothing..." A pause "Bas yeh ki... kuch log emotions express nahi karte."
Abeer nodded dramatically "Exactly."
"12 saal se—" Atharv elbowed him hard and Abeer stopped mid-sentence. "...se... matlab... bohot time se."
Adhira frowned slightly as she took a gradp on that particular number "12 saal...?"
Abeer cleared his throat "Office... 12 saal purana hai na."
"5 saal purana hai." Atharv corrected instantly
"Main test kar raha tha tum logon ko." Abeer said confidently
Trisha bit her lip - trying not to laugh She knew Of course she knew But she just sat there— smiling softly Acting clueless.
"Haan haan..." She added casually.
"Bohot purani feelings lag rahi hain."
Abeer looked at her "Tum bhi?"
She shrugged "Main toh bas observe kar rahi hoon "
Meanwhile Adhira's gaze shifted slowly Toward Shivay He hadn't said a word.
Not defended and Not even reacted. He Just... watched her. And that That made her uneasy. Because in all this teasing— in all this laughter—He wasn't denying anything.
He wasn't stopping them. He wasn't even... confused.
And suddenly her heart felt heavy again.
Because he looked— happy. Not excited.
Not overwhelmed. Just... quietly happy.
Like this was something he had been waiting for. For a long time. Too long.
Her fingers tightened around the bouquet.
A thought creeping in unwanted.
"What if... I hurt him?"
"What if this... breaks him?" Her chest tightened. Because she knew— This wasn't love. Not from her side. This was a decision. A sacrifice. And he— He didn't deserve that.
"...Aru?" Trisha's voice pulled her back.
She looked at her. And Trisha smiled softly.
As if she understood everything— without saying a word. Adhira forced a small smile back. But her eyes— Drifted once more.
To him. And this time—When their eyes met
She looked away first. Because his gaze—
Held something she was afraid of. Something too pure. Too real. And maybe—Too late to escape. The laughter inside the cabin continued voices overlapping, teasing, chaos.
But amidst it—Anvi's phone buzzed.
She glanced at it.
"Guys, one sec..." She said casually. But No one really noticed—everyone were too busy pulling Shivay's leg
She stepped out and went near Hallway
It was quieter here. Almost empty.
Just the soft hum of the AC— and distant office noise.
Anvi unlocked her phone. And A message from her friend.
"BROOO I SENT YOU SOMETHING SEE THE PIC 😭🔥"
She rolled her eyes slightly.
"Ab kya bheja hai..."
She opened it And froze. It was a picture.
Her friend—kissing her boyfriend. Close. Happy. Perfect.
Anvi stared at it for a few seconds and Her expression changed. A small pout formed on her lips "Wow..." She muttered.
"Sabke boyfriend hai..." She looked at the picture again "Sabko pyaar mil raha hai..." A small sigh escaped her. "...aur main yahan single hi mar jaungi."
"Kaun mar raha hai?"
She jumped slightly as she heard a voice from behind Turning back— Atharv stood there. Hands in pockets. A slight smirk on his face.
" aap yahan akeli kya kar rahi hai ?"
Anvi quickly locked her phone.
"Nothing Nothing "
He raised a brow " Something Something "
She rolled her eyes "Tumhe kya?"
"Oho... attitude."
"Tumhe problem hai?"
"Thodi si."
She crossed her arms. "Good Rakho "
Atharv stepped closer "Show me."
"No."
"Anvi—"
"I said NO."
But he had already seen it. That one glimpse of The picture. And more importantly—
her reaction. He smirked slightly.
"Jealous ho?"
Her eyes widened "Excuse me?!"
" aap..jealous hai ? "
"I am NOT"
"You are"
"I am NOT!"
"Phir itna react kyun kar rahi hai?"
"Because it's annoying!"
"Ya phir..." He leaned slightly closer.
"...because aapko bhi koi chahiye?"
She blinked "Tum pagal ho."
"Ho sakta hai." A pause. "Par galat nahi hoon."
Before she could reply— He stepped closer
Too close. That Her breath hitched.
"Atharv—"
And then— He kissed her Soft and Sudden.
For a second she froze and Her mind went blank but Her heart was loud. Too loud.
And just as suddenly— he pulled back.
Like nothing happened. Turning slightly ready to walk away.
Anvi stood there Completely stunned.
Her fingers slowly touched her lips. And Eyes wide
"What just—"
She turned toward the wall , Hiding her face. Whispering under her breath—breathless—
"He kissed me..." A small pause "He kissed me..."
Her heart was racing uncontrollably She shook her head slightly.
"What just happened..."
Before she could process— A hand grabbed her shoulders , Turning her around.
It was him again Atharv His eyes were darker now. More intense. Even Before she could speak— He kissed her again This time— slower and Deeper. Not rushed. Her fingers instinctively clutched his shirt and Her breath was trembling. And in between—
with the faintest smirk against his lips—
He murmured "He is kissing me...He is kissing me " A soft pause "Say this."
Her breath hitched as He kissed her again—briefly.
"Say it."
Her voice came out barely above a whisper— "...he is kissing me..."
His smile deepened slightly "Good." And there it wad Another soft kiss. And then— he pulled back. Leaving her there Breathless and Flustered. Completely undone. As he walked away— like nothing had happened.
And Anvi? She stayed right there. Hand still on her lips , Heart still racing.
And one thought—on repeat—
He kissed me
___________
The laughter hadn't died in cabin If anything— it had just shifted tone.
The door opened softly— and Anvi walked back in. Trying to look normal Trying to breathe normally.
Trying to pretend— nothing had just happened But the moment she stepped in— her eyes betrayed her. Because they went straight to— Atharv.
Who was already looking at her. With that same smirk Slow and Knowing. Anvi instantly looked away Walking past him quickly and sitting beside Veer.
"Tu theek hai?" Veer whispered.
"Bilkul." She replied too quickly.
Atharv chuckled softly under his breath. "Relax..." He murmured.
Anvi shot him a glare "Tum chup raho."
"Main toh kuch bola hi nahi."
"Mat bolo."
"Okay " after A pause atharv spoke "...he kissed me"
Anvi's eyes widened. "ATHARV—!"
Everyone looked at them.
"What happened?" Abeer asked.
"Nothing!"Anvi snapped instantly And Atharv raised his hands innocently.
"I said nothing."
Anvi glared harder. Meanwhile— Abeer stretched slightly.
"Okay guys..."
"Enough drama for today." He said as he stood up.
"Let's go home and get ready."
Everyone looked at him. "Kyuuun?"
Trisha asked suspiciously as Abeer smirked proudly.
"Kyuki..."
"Ladke wale hai." A dramatic pause.
"Sab perfect hona chahiye."
Trisha blinked Then scoffed.
"Excuse me??"
"Tum ladke wale ho??"
"Obviously."
"Tum bas extra ho."
"Extra??"
"Haan."
"I am main character."
"You are side character."
Abeer gasped "Side character??!"
"Background dancer energy hai tumhari " trisha said with a proud face
Atharv snorted "Valid."
"Tum dono chup raho!" Abeer snapped
Trisha folded her arms. "Main toh Aru ke side hoon."
"Main bhi." Atharv added casually
Abeer looked betrayed "Wow"
"Sab milke mujhe hi target kar rahe ho."
"Kyuki tum easy target ho " Trisha replied instantly
"TRISHA—"
Meanwhile—Veer stood up "Chalo Anvi..."
Anvi nodded quickly Still avoiding Atharv's gaze. They both walked toward Adhira. And
Veer smiled softly.
"Adhira di..."
Anvi added with a grin— "Aaj hum aapko officially bhabhi banane aa rahe hain."
Adhira forced a small smile and Trisha jumped in—
"Main bhi aa rahi hoon tum logon ke saath."
"NO."
Abeer said instantly "Tum yahan rehogi."
"Main kyun rahun??"
"Kyuki tum meri trainee ho."
"Main tumhari kuch nahi hoon!"
"Office hours khatam nahi hue."
"Tumhari life khatam ho jayegi agar tumne mujhe roka—"
"TRY ME."
"STOP IT BOTH OF YOU!" Adhira finally snapped lightly
Silence. Then—everyone laughed.
"Okay okay..." Atharv clapped once
"Break lete hain sab...aaj"
One by one— they started leaving. Veer and Anvi waved dramatically.
"See you in the evening, bhabhi!" Anvi added teasingly—"Ready rehna..."
And just like that they were gone. Abeer left next still arguing with Trisha.
"Time pe aana."
"Tum time pe aana."
"Main hamesha time pe aata hoon."
"Jhoot bolte waqt sharam nahi aati?"
"TRISHA—" Their voices faded as they walked out.
Atharv followed them behind A faint smirk still there. And then—he left too.
Aggarwal house
The house felt... different. and Lights brighter.Voices were softer and Hearts louder.
In the living room Nanu and Nani were supervising everything.
"Arre woh cushions seedhe rakho..." Nani instructed.
"Guests aa rahe hain, dhyaan rakho sab kuch perfect ho."
Ritu moved around the house—fixing curtains, checking the table.
"Ritesh ji, mithai check ki aapne?"
Ritesh nodded "Haan haan, sab ready hai."
But his voice carried nervousness. Because this wasn't just any meeting. This was that evening a father waits for her daughter to finally see her getting ready for the one one who would truly love her like he does .
Adhira's Room
The room was a mess. Clothes were everywhere. Dupattas scattered. Jewelry boxes open. In the middle of it—Adhira stood. Confused.
"What do I even wear..." She muttered.
Behind her on the bed—sat Trisha. Already ready Already glowing.
"Wear something decent " She said casually
Adhira turned and spoke "Wow. Very helpful "
Trisha smirked "Tumhe impress karna hai na unhe?"
Adhira blinked "Kya matlab?"
Trisha raised a brow "Matlab... future husband ko."
"TRISHA—"
"Okay okay..." She laughed.
"Red pehen lo."
Adhira paused "...red?"
Trisha nodded "Simple. Elegant. Dangerous."
Adhira rolled her eyes— but still she picked it A red and golden anarkali. Slowly— she changed.
Moments later—she stood in front of the mirror. Golden jhumkas swaying softly. Red bangles sliding onto her wrists. Her fingers paused for a second. Looking at herself.
This is happening. Trisha stood behind her.
"Aru..." She smiled softly"Beautiful like butterfly ."
Adhira looked at her reflection. Not smiling.
Just... thinking about those words again .
Beautiful like butterfly

Shivay's House — His Room
The door opened and chaos entered. Veer Abeer,Anvi, Atharv,Prisha chachi, Daksh chachu , Prithvi uncle , and Kavya aunty .
all together.
And what they saw Made them pause.
Because there stood Shivay. In black formals perfect and bossy And completely wrong.
"...bhai?" Veer spoke first "Meeting pe ja rahe ho kya?"
Abeer folded his arms "Seriously?"
Anvi walked closer "This is not office."
Prisha added dramatically "This is romance night."
Daksh laughed on hearing his wife " shivay ko koi batao yeh proposal hai, board meeting nahi."
Shivay looked at all of them Calmly "Problem kya hai?"
"Problem yeh hai—" Abeer stepped forward.
"Ki aap robot lag rahe ho."
"Emotionless CEO " Atharv added
"Main comfortable hoon " Shivay replied simply
"Hum nahi hain " Anvi shot back.
Before anyone could continue—Kavya stepped forward.
"Bas !!Everyone quiet "
She looked at Shivay Softly.
"Ek minute."
Without another word—She walked to his closet Opening it. Her fingers moved through the clothes— until they stopped.
She pulled out— a white kurta with pathani salwar Simple and Elegant Perfect.
She turned— holding it up.
"Yeh pehno."
Shivay looked at it Then at her "Maa—"
"No arguments " A pause "Please "
Her voice softened and That was enough.
Shivay nodded once
"Okay."
Instant reaction was heard from everyone "YAYYY—"
Prisha clapped " Finally!"
Abeer smirked "Ab aayega maza."
Kavya smiled slightly Then turned to everyone.
"Sab bahar chalo."
"Whyyy—" Veer started.
"Bahar " She repeated.
And Everyone groaned—but started moving out
"Privacy chahiye bhai ko—"Abeer whispered dramatically
"Chup " Atharv hit him lightly
One by one—they all stepped out.
Kavya paused at the door looking back at Shivay. A soft smile. And then—she left.
Closing the door behind her.
Inside the Room there was Silence as Shivay stood there— holding the white kurta For a moment— he just looked at it.
Then slowly—He changed. And when he stepped in front of the mirror—Everything shifted. Because now— He didn't look like a CEO. He looked like—someone ready to belong to someone. And somewhere Without knowing . His heart had already chosen her.
Not empty but alive. Shivay stood still for a moment— in his white kurta his reflection staring back at him But his eyes weren't on himself anymore.
They drifted Toward the cupboard. As if something inside was calling him. Slowly—he walked to it and Opened it. His hand moved inside—past the present—into something... older. Hidden. Untouched for years. And then he took it out. A small box.
Simple But not ordinary. His fingers tightened slightly around it. A breath left him.
As if he already knew what it would do to him. He opened it. Inside a pair of golden anklets Soft and Delicate. As if Waiting His eyes softened. And A rare thing.
"...8 saal..." He whispered. "...8 saal se rakhe hain." His thumb brushed over them gently.
Like he was afraid they might disappear. "Aapke liye, Radhe..."
His voice dropped to Almost... distant.
"Tab bas ek ehsaas tha..." A faint smile.
"...aaj haq mil raha hai."
A pause. His gaze lowered lost somewhere between memory and reality.
"Par kabhi socha nahi tha..."
"...ki aapki amanat... sach mein aapko de paunga."
The words didn't sound like hope. They sounded like something that had waited too long. He closed the box slowly and Held it close for a second. Then slipped it into his pocket. But something still pulled him back.
His hand moved again—deeper. And this time he took out something else. A murli
Old. Worn. But not forgotten. His grip tightened slightly around it. And His jaw flexed. As if this—meant more than the anklets.
More than words He stared at it— longer than before. And for a second—his calm broke. Just a little.
"... yaad hai aapko...?" He murmured under his breath. No answer. Of course not.
He exhaled slowly. Then carefully— he tucked the murli behind his back. Hidden beneath his kurta.
Out of sight ... But not out of his story
Because some things—weren't meant to be shown but Only felt. He straightened.
Back to being Shivay. Composed and Untouchable. But now— with a secret in his pocket. And a past resting against his back.
And somewhere deep inside—A truth—
waiting for the right moment to break free.
Footsteps echoed down the staircase.
And thenhe appeared Shivay. Dressed in a white kurta and pathani salwar. Simple and Elegant. Deadly calm.
For a second no one spoke. Because this—
this was not the Shivay they were used to.
"...bhai??"Veer blinked.
"Yeh... aap ho?? "
Anvi covered her mouth dramatically.
"Oh my GOD—"
"Finally insaan lag rahe ho!"
"Excuse me?" Shivay raised a brow.
Abeer walked around him—inspecting.
"White kurta..." He nodded. "Calm expression...Hidden emotions..."Dangerous combination."
Atharv smirked "Aaj toh ladki waale gir jayenge "
"Already gir chuki hai." Abeer added under his breath.
Shivay shot him a look "Chup."
From behind— Kavya smiled softly Eyes filled with pride "Mera shivay..."
Prithvi nodded approvingly. "Chalein?"
" chaloo..."
Outside —
Two cars stood ready. In one— the "young chaos team" settled in.
Driver seat—Shivay . Beside him—abeer and on Back seat— Anvi, veer, and Atharv somehow squeezing in.
"Bhai, main peeche kyun hoon?" Veer complained.
"Kyuki tum zyada bolte ho " Atharv replied instantly.
" aap bhi bolte ho."
"Main useful bolta hoon."
"Tum dono chup reh sakte ho?" Anvi snapped.
Veer laughed. "Impossible."
Meanwhile—in the second car
Daksh , Prisha, Kavya, and Prithvi sat with sweet boxes, fruits, and gifts neatly arranged.
"Sab liya na?" Prisha checked again.
"Haan." Kavya smiled.
"Sab perfect hai."
On the Road The cars moved. Light chatter filled the first car.
Until suddenly—Shivay slowed down.
And then - stopped.
"Bhai?" Veer frowned.
"Kya hua?"
Abeer leaned forward "Tyre puncture?"
Atharv looked around. "Ya phir bhai ko realization aa gaya—"
"Shaadi cancel karni hai?"
"SHUT UP." Anvi snapped.
All eyes turned to Shivay.
He didn't answer. Just stepped out of the car "Ab kya hua..."
Abeer muttered "Yeh suspense mujhe pasand nahi."
They all peeked out—trying to see. And Shivay walked toward a nearby shop.
And a few seconds later—He came back.
Holding a huge bouquet of red roses Big.
Elegant and Impossible to ignore.
Inside the car there was silence.
Then it exploded with sudden
"OHOOOOOO—" Veer grinned widely
"Romantic aadmi nikla!" Atharv smirked.
"Preparation level high hai." Anvi squealed softly.
"Adhira di is going to melt—"Veer nodded proudly.
"Bhai ne game set kar diya."
Shivay ignored all of them and Opened the diki and Placed the bouquet carefully and Closed it. After that he Got back into the driver's seat. His aura Calm again.
"Done?" Abeer asked teasingly.
Shivay started the car and said "Seatbelt lagao."
"Answer toh de do—"
"Abeer."
"Okay sorry."
The car moved again. But this time There was something different. Because now—
they weren't just going for a meeting.
They were going— to take ask her to be their family .
And Shivay? His hand rested lightly near his pocket. Where the anklets were even when driving And somewhere—deep inside—
He knew. Tonight wasn't just about the present. It was about something— that had been waiting for years. The moment the cars stopped outside— the house felt like it held its breath.
Lights warm and Doors open. Hearts louder than ever. Nani and Nanu stood at the entrance. Ritu and Ritesh beside them—
nervous but smiling. And then— they arrived.
The Raghuvanshis.
One by one, greetings exchanged. Hands folded. Smiles polite. And Eyes heavy with meaning.
"Swagat hai aapka..." Nanu said warmly.
Kavya smiled softly "Bahut shukriya..."
But before anything else could settle— A blur of movement rushed past everyone. Trisha.
"ARU—!"
She ran upstairs without waiting. And her voice echoed through the house—
"O Jiji kya kehake unako bulaaoge..."
"Dulhaa banake jo aayenge!"
A laugh broke somewhere in the hall But downstairs—The atmosphere shifted. Because Shivay had stopped moving.
Completely. He stood near the entrance still as stone. His eyes slowly scanned the house.
Like it was real Too real.
Atharv leaned slightly toward him and asked "Kya hua?"
Shivay didn't look at him and Just exhaled.
"...yakeen nahi ho raha." A pause. "...ki yeh sach hai."
Atharv raised a brow "Sach kya?" Shivay finally looked up. But not at him. At the stairs. "Yeh..."
A faint pause "...sab." And then— The air changed again. Footsteps echoed Slow and Deliberate and Everyone turned. And there she was.
Adhira.
Coming down the stairs. In a red and golden anarkali jhumkas swaying softly— red bangles catching the light Like she didn't walk. Like she arrived. And for Shivay—
Everything stopped. The noise. The people.
The world. His hand slowly lifted—
pressing lightly against his chest. Not dramatic. Not intentional. Just instinct. To steady himself.
Because his breath— had forgotten how to behave. Abeer noticed first.
"Oho..." He whispered.
Atharv smirked faintly "Bhai gaya."
Veer smiled quietly "Completely gone."
But Shivay didn't hear any of it. Because his eyes were still on her.
And Adhira ? She felt it immediately. That gaze. Heavy and Unmoving. She looked down for a second- then up again. And their eyes met.
And in that moment— nothing else mattered. Not the guests. Not the house. Not the world. Just that pause between two hearts , finally standing in the same place.
The air still hadn't returned to normal.
Adhira stood halfway down the stairs feeling every gaze in the room. But only one mattered. Shivay.
He hadn't moved. Not even an inch.
Just stood there— like the world had paused him there on purpose. A faint awkwardness spread through the room.
Then— Abeer leaned toward Atharv.
"Bhai ko reboot lag gaya kya?"
Atharv smirked. "Nahi..."
"...system crash ho gaya hai."
Abeer chuckled softly. Adhira heard nothing of it. She slowly took the last step down. Her bangles made a soft sound. That was enough. Shivay's fingers tightened slightly at his side. Just for a second. He inhaled.
Slow and Controlled. But it still didn't help. Because she was standing right in front of him now. Close. Too close. And for the first time— he didn't know what to do with his hands. Adhira cleared her throat softly.
Trying to regain control of herself.
"Welcome..." She said politely. Her voice wad steady. But her eyes—not entirely.
Shivay nodded slightly "...thank you." And passed her the bouquet that he kept on table beside him
A pause. Too long. And adhira took it with a smile . Someone from behind coughed dramatically—probably Veer.
"Uhh... should we... sit?" That broke the tension a little.
Nani immediately stepped in. "Ji ji, aaiye aaiye..." Everyone started moving inside.
But Shivay didn't immediately follow. He stayed a second longer. Watching her.
Adhira noticed. Her fingers tightened around her dupatta.
"Come inside."
She said softly. A d He nodded. Finally moving.
But as he passed her— Very briefly— his shoulder brushed hers. Unintentional. Or maybe not. Adhira froze slightly. And Shivay— didn't stop walking. But his expression changed. Just a little. To shyness
Inside the hall chaos returned instantly.
Trisha came running again. "ARU—HE SAW YOU LIKE THAT?!" She said pointing at her red cheeks
"TRISHA—!" Adhira hissed.
But Trisha was already laughing. Abeer sat down dramatically. "Okay I confirm—this is not a normal shaadi setup."
Atharv nodded. "This is emotional damage with decoration."
Veer laughed and anvi clapped.
"I LIKE THIS ENERGY."
But in the corner—Shivay stood quietly.
Watching everything. Yet still not looking away from her for too long. Because every time he did— he felt that strange pull again.
And Adhira? She tried to act normal. Tried to smile. Tried to breathe. Ugh But every few seconds— her eyes drifted back to him.
And every time they did—she felt something tighten in her chest. Not fear. Not confusion but Something worse. Awareness. That this wasn't just a meeting anymore. It was the beginning of something— neither of them fully understood yet.
The room slowly loosened. Laughter replaced tension. And conversations started flowing like old familiarity. On one side—
Kavya, Prisha, and Ritu sat together. Tea cups in hand. Soft smiles on their faces.
Kavya adjusted her dupatta slightly.
"Sach bolun toh..." she said softly.
"Adhira bilkul humari hi lagti hai."
Ritu smiled. "Main toh pehle se keh rahi thi..."
"Yeh rishta toh... dil se hai."
Prisha leaned in teasingly "Bas bas... ab emotional mat karo warna main ro dungi."
From a distance— the younger group was listening very carefully. Abeer leaned toward Atharv.
"Dekha? Shaadi already emotional ho gayi hai."
Atharv smirked "Abhi toh trailer hai."
Veer whispered to Anvi "Bhabhi planning strong chal rahi hai."
Anvi grinned "Of course."
"Main toh pehle se ready hoon."
Veer raised a brow "For what?"
"To call her bhabhi obviously."
Veer laughed on hearing her Meanwhile—the elders were still talking softly.
When suddenly Prithvi stood up. And The room shifted instantly. All conversations paused. Even Shivay looked up. Something felt... serious. As everyone too stood up .
Prithvi walked forward slowly. Each step deliberate.and He stopped in front of Adhira. The room went completely silent.
Ritu held her breath. Kavya straightened slightly. Prisha blinked.
Adhira looked up at him - confused.
Prithvi smiled faintly Soft and Warm.
Then he reached into his pocket. Everyone expected something formal. Something serious. But instead— He pulled out a small chocolate. A simple one. Wrapped carefully.
A few people actually chuckled softly in relief.
Prithvi extended it toward Adhira. "Yeh..."
he said gently.
"...nayi shuruaat se pehle ka meetha hai." A pause.
His eyes softened further "Hamare ghar ki beti bankar chalogi?"
Silence again.But this time different.
Adhira's lips curved slightly and Her eyes softened. she nodded Slowly.
" jii..."
A soft collective breath released in the room.
And then— chaos returned instantly.
"OOOHHH—" Anvi and Veer said together dramatically—
"OR HUMARI BHABHI?!"
Adhira blinked at them.
Abeer jumped in instantly— "My bhabhi..."
he said proudly."...and partner in crime."
Atharv smirked. "Main toh keh raha hoon..."
"meri sautan—" he stopped mid-sentence.
"i mean...meri responsibility..I will protect you like a sister."
The room erupted in laughter. Even Adhira laughed softly now. A real one and Not forced.
Shivay watched her in allQuiet and Still.
But something in his eyes softened further.
As if seeing her laugh like that—was enough
And in that moment— between teasing, warmth, and laughter—
something unspoken settled in the room.
Not a promise yet. But the beginning of one.
The laughter had softened. The teasing had slowed. Even the air felt different now.
Kavya walked slowly. Her gaze shifted toward Shivay.and A small smile creeped on her face Soft and Knowing. She walked toward him and The room instinctively quieted again.
"Shivay..." she said gently.
He looked up. Kavya's eyes softened further.
"Ab waqt aa gaya hai..." A pause. "...usse apna banane ka." She smiled at adhira and continued " ek ladki apna sab kuch chhod kar , tumare sath chalne ke liye tyara hai ....uss se theek se puch tho lo "
" Now its time to propose her Shivay !! " she said with excitment
A stillness Then—the younger ones reacted instantly. Abeer whispered dramatically—
"Bhai ne toh diamond ring plan ki hogi."
Atharv nodded. "100%."
Veer leaned toward Anvi "Abhi slow motion moment aayega."
Anvi grinned "Main ready hoon."
But Shivay—didn't move toward a ring box.
He moved forward and Straight toward her.
Towards Adhira. The room held its breath.
And Adhira looked up at him.Confused.
Softly anxious.
He stopped in front of her. No words at first.
Just a gaze. Deep and Certain. Then— he gently bent down. And from his pocket—
he took out a small box.
Everyone leaned forward. Expecting glitter.
Diamonds and Surprise. But when he opened it— It wasn't a ring. It was a pair of golden anklets. The room collectively went—
"Awwww—"
Even Abeer blinked. "Bro... emotional damage ho gaya."
Atharv smirked. "Different level romance."
Veer whispered "Bhai ne legacy choose kar li."
Shivay didn't look away from her. His voice lowered.
"May I?"
Adhira hesitated. Just a second Then slowly— she nodded. She bent slightly. Removed her heels. And placed her feet gently on his knee. The room went silent again. Shivay carefully picked up one anklet. And slowly—
placed it around her ankle. Gentle wnd Precise.
Almost like it mattered more than anything else. Then the other.
Adhira looked down Her cheeks were slightly flushed. A soft smile forming— like she thought that was it.
But Shivay didn't stand yet. Instead— he reached behind him. And pulled out something else.
A murli.
Old and Sacred. He Carefully held it and The room froze again.
Adhira's breath hitched slightly. And Shivay lowered his head.
And slowly— extended it toward her with both hands. Completely surrendering to her and it was not Shivay surrendering to his Adhira but Shivansh surrendering to his adhisree .
His voice was soft But steady.
"Yeh murli aapki hui, Radhe....aur yeh Shivay bhi."
