" she is just 18 " the nurse questioned in shock . " jii " ritesh replied sadness in his voice was so loud , his only daughter who he loved the most was lying on a death bed , was fighting alone . " the nurse couldn't hold back her curiosity and asked the question " kai baar kuch dard umar se bade ho jate hai , or sambhale nhi jate " ritesh replied as a tear escaped his eyes .
there attention shifted when a doctor came running and asked " who is adhira"s father ? " ritesh replied with a " i am "
" sir she has lost a lot of blood and her vitals are not normal " the doctor said with a bit hesitation trying to keep his words soft to not hurt the child's parents '' what can we do doctor? " ritesh asked with the worried tone . " sir we can just wait and watch , cause it seems that she was very depressed and didn't had any will to live more and for now we are giving her anti depressant to calm her nerves " on saying that the doctor left .
" Ritu you should go home and rest , mai yaha hu tum chinta mat karo " ritesh said giving her car keys " par mujse nhi raha jayega , aru ki chinta mai " ritu spoke in denial " pls mere liye jakr aram kr lo " on hearing ritesh ritu left for home
On reaching home she saw a girl standing outside the gate waiting . ritu tapped on her shoulder and on seeing the girl she broke down , hugging the girl she spoke " trisha ... meri aru "
" massi kya hua aru ko ? " trisha who is adhira"s bestfriend questioned with confusion and a hint of worry " sh..shee attempted sui*ide " ritu answered between her sobs . " WHATT?? .. nhi meri aru aisa nhi kar skti massi " trisha's voice was stuck in her throat as she knew her best friend was so strong to handle herself . " aap phle andr chaliye massi " she took ritu inside the home " massi kyu kiya aru ne ? " ritu looked at trisha and said " nhi pata beta , usne humse 1 month se baat tak nhi ki hai , the last words that we heard from her was ishq ka izhar krne gayi thi , khud ka matam mana kr aarhi hu "
massi you take rest i will back . trisha stood up and went to adhira's room , she opened the door and her eyes blinked and opened wide to adjust to the darkness in thr room , on entering the room the first thing that her hands searched for was a switchboard to switch on the light . a little sigh escaped her mouth as the brightness settled in the room and on seeing the mess in the room , but her gaze halted on the paper that was kept on her bed , steeping carefully through the broken vase she went towards the bed and lifted the paper , she carefully opened it , but the moment her eyes traced on the words , her feet gave up and she broke on the bed . she read it again this time not in her head but a little loudly to believe whether the words that see just read were real or an illusion " mai khud se harr gayi papa , ab sehen nhi ho raha tha sorry " a tear escaped her eyes and with the letter in her hands she rushed outside
" where are you going beta " ritu questioned trisha on seeing her rush " hospital .." trisha replied with a single word " whats that paper in your hand ? " ritu questioned trisha and on hearing her question she looked at ritu and replied with " sui*ide note "
" wh..what , kya likha hai usme ? " ritu said " massi i will tell you everything but first i have questions for adhira " trisha replied with a little hesitation " i will accompany you to the hospital , lets go " ritu didn't questioned trisha more as she knew that the bond these two friends share is far more than best friends
On reaching the hospital trisha rushed inside but ritu took the lead patting on her shoulder " calm down trishu , stay strong "
" muje bhut jor se uss jhali ko pitne ka mann kr rha hai massi " trisha couldn't hold back her tears and when she saw ritesh standing in front of ICU she lost her control and ran towards him , hugging him she whispered " uncle ... kyuu kiya aru ne yee "
" teri hi bhen hai tu khud hi puch lena " he patted her head " chal ab rona band kr " ritu parted herself and wiping her tears she spoke " muje milna hai aru se " she said while lifting her right hand which held the letter which made ritesh question her " ye kya hai " trisha replied with " its a sui*ide note , which she wrote thinking that her one note will be enough for all the questions that we gonna ask her "
" kya likha hai isme ? " he said talking the letter from trusha's hand and read it . It was enough and too much for him to handle , it was hurting him to see her strong daughter losing herself . The one who use to win everytime the one who use to heal everyone was suffering from her ownself . Ritesh didn't shed a tear all long even when her daughter suffered a terrible abuse but on seeing her daughter lose herself made him weak " meri bachi... meri bachi ne itna kuch kaise sehen kiya ritu "
" uncle she is very strong .. mujse bhi jyada .. she can't lose !! Heina aunty .. aru ne muje jeena sikhaya woh aisa nhi har sakti " trisha said trying her best to calm the situation but their attention was shifted when a doctor came and announced " her vitals are a bit better than before but the risk is still very high ,one of you can go and meet her "
Trisha looked at ritu and ritesh thinking who will go to meet her " trishu tu jake milkar aa " ritu announced gaining her attention " massi lkin- "
" jaa na trishu or haa aache se dant lagana usse " ritesh said pusing her a little towards the door . Trisha walked slow trying to embrace herself , trying to calm herself down . Her hands pushed the door , and on seeing her bubbly friend laying lifelessly on the hospital bed made her lose her calm and even after trying so hard she couldn't control her tears
She went near her bed and without breaking her contact from adhira's face she sat on the chair which was next to her bed " tere bina mai kaise jeetugi aaru ? " she sobbed " tune muje jeena sikhaya , when i lost my everything you were there with me as if you are the soul of my body , why would you take my soul away from myself aru ! Why would you hurt yourslef " trisha placed her hand on adhira's hand and said " i know you are listning to me ... and now you are gonna promise me to wake up very soon and give me a tight hug .. okay ? "
